The Problem

The crew speaks Spanish. The job runs in English.

One in three construction workers in the U.S. is Hispanic or Latino. Most foremen do not speak fluent Spanish. The result: instructions get missed, safety callouts get lost, rework piles up, and workforce risk hides in plain sight.

The Solution

A safety communication platform.Bilingual fluency comes with the territory.

GoVoz is a workforce safety tool, not a language course. Foremen deliver every company instruction in fluent Spanish even if they do not speak it themselves. Spanish-speaking crew hear instructions in their own language. Both sides become more fluent through daily use, not classroom study.

Spanish literacy varies. Listening comprehension is universal. A worker who cannot read a paystub explanation can hear it in fluent Spanish and immediately understand. Timecard rules. Holiday pay. Safety protocols. All delivered as audio in the worker's own language.

Safety Framing Concrete Equipment HR & Pay

Trade-specific safety phrases

Safety, framing, concrete, equipment, HR. Phrases organized by job category, not tourist phrasebook. Audio in both languages, slow-mode for pronunciation.

AI conversation practice

Live bilingual back-and-forth that responds like a foreman. Replies in English and Spanish, plus a real communication tip every time.

Company safety content

Safety Huddles, PPE requirements by trade, site safety contacts with quick dial, OSHA standards lookup. Your safety team manages content directly. Crew receives instructions in their language.

White-label and customizable

Your colors, logo, content. Import HRIS info into the app from ADP, Workday, or Paycom. Aggregate-only adoption analytics (no individual tracking). Standard SaaS security.

Compare

How GoVoz compares to alternatives.

The honest comparison. We are not for everyone. If a free general translator solves your problem, use it.

Why "free" fails on jobsites

Where Google Translate breaks down.

11%+ accuracy gap on construction terminology. Specialized construction translation tools outperform Google Translate by more than 11 percent on technical terms (X-doc.ai research).
Gender-bias errors. Spanish requires gendered nouns and pronouns. Google Translate often defaults to masculine forms, can mistranslate "they" or neutral references, and loses the formal/informal distinction (tú vs usted) that matters on a jobsite.
Mistranslated trade words. "Stud" returns the wrong word. "Header" gets garbled. "Screed" sometimes returns no result. Funny on a paystub. Dangerous on a safety callout.
Speed kills. 30 to 45 seconds per translation through Google. A foreman watching a crew member walk under a load does not have 30 seconds.
No usage tracking. Free tools cannot show you which phrases your crew uses, what they look up, or where the language gaps are. No data to support training or program adjustments.
No company-specific content. Google cannot deliver your timecard rules, your holiday calendar, or your safety contacts in Spanish. That requires a platform.
No real-time safety alerts. When a crew member is in immediate danger, Google Translate cannot pop up a warning in their language. GoVoz can push opt-in safety notifications to every crew member's phone, in their language, in seconds. That is a difference measured in seconds. Seconds matter on a jobsite.
AI chatbots are not workforce systems

Why ChatGPT and free AI cannot replace GoVoz.

AI chatbots are general-purpose conversation tools. They are not built for the jobsite. ChatGPT does not know your company. It has no understanding of your safety protocols, no record of who heard what, no integration with your crew directory, and no way to push a critical alert to your team.

GoVoz is purpose-built for bilingual safety communication on a real jobsite. AI is one feature inside the platform, not a substitute for it. Buying a chatbot to solve workforce safety is like buying a hammer to build a house. The hammer is necessary. It is not the house.

The origin story

GoVoz started with a conversation at the kitchen table.

Trina Aguirre's husband has spent his career in commercial construction managing union crews where roughly 90 percent of the workforce is Hispanic or Latino. Over time those kitchen table conversations kept coming back to the same thing. He wanted to communicate better with his crew. Not just point and gesture. Not rely on one bilingual worker to carry the whole team. Actually talk to the people he worked alongside every day.

Trina heard it enough times that she started paying attention differently. With 25 years building workforce systems across Fortune 500 companies, hospitals, and nonprofits, she is wired to find the gap between a problem and a practical solution. What she found was that nothing on the market was built for this specific situation. Not for construction. Not for real jobsite language. Not for the foreman who wants to call out a safety hazard and know his crew actually heard it.

So she built GoVoz. Voz means voice in Spanish. Because that is exactly what was missing on the job site. A shared voice.

The Problems GoVoz Solves
  • · Safety calls that do not register in real time because the crew did not catch them in English.
  • · Safety huddles delivered to crews who are catching maybe half of what is being said.
  • · Spanish-speaking workers who want to advance but cannot bridge the language gap on their own.
  • · Bilingual workers burning out because informal translation became their second full-time job.
  • · Compliance documents that nobody reads because nobody can read them.
What GoVoz Delivers

Now leaders can communicate with their Spanish-speaking crew with the push of a button. The app speaks the message out loud in Spanish so nothing gets lost. Or if you prefer, GoVoz teaches you how to say it yourself. Your choice.

It works both ways. Spanish-speaking crew members can communicate back in Spanish too. Every user sets their preferred language when they sign up so all navigation, headers, and options appear in their language with the translation alongside it. English speakers see English first. Spanish speakers see Spanish first. Everyone is working in the same app, in their own language, at the same time.

Construction-specific phrases by trade, AI conversation practice, safety communications, and real-time bilingual announcements. Built for the job site, not a classroom.

Download is voluntary. Use is voluntary. No employer mandate. Leadership manages the content. The crew chooses to engage.

Why Nothing Else Works

Free translators do not know construction terminology. Generic language apps do not know your company. Project management platforms have Spanish UI but no bilingual safety communication. Training programs are one-time content, not a daily tool.

GoVoz combines construction-specific AI conversation, real jobsite phrases by trade category, and bilingual communication in one platform. Built for the people doing the work and the leaders responsible for keeping them safe.

Frequently asked

Common questions and honest answers

Why pay for this when AI and Google Translate are free?+

Free general translators fail on construction terminology by 11 percent or more. They are slow on a jobsite (30 to 45 seconds per translation versus one tap on a pre-loaded phrase). They have no audit trail. They cannot deliver your company's specific timecard rules, holidays, or safety contacts in Spanish. "We use Google Translate" is not a defensible answer in front of OSHA or in court. GoVoz is a workforce safety platform. AI is one feature inside it.

Do crew members need company phones?+

No. GoVoz works on personal phones. Use is optional and voluntary. Companies are not liable for personal phone costs because crew use is voluntary. Workers who do not have or want to use a phone get content delivered through their foreman or printed cheat sheets.

How is employee data managed?+

Your HRIS (ADP, Workday, Paycom) stays the source of truth. GoVoz reads from it via CSV upload (pilot) or API integration (post-pilot). We never become the master record for employee data. No individual user tracking. Aggregate analytics only. Personal saved phrases stay on the user's device.

What about union contracts and personal phone laws?+

GoVoz is voluntary by design. Pilot agreement includes a non-mandate clause stating crew use cannot be required, penalized, or used in performance review. This satisfies most union and California labor concerns. We work with your labor relations team on contract-specific language as needed.

What languages do you support?+

English and Mexican Spanish today (the dominant US construction Spanish dialect). Russian is next on the language roadmap based on customer demand. Other languages can be added on request for enterprise customers.

The honest list

Why GoVoz might NOT be right for you

We are not for everyone. If any of these apply, talk to us anyway, but go in eyes open.

  • · Your workforce is mostly English-speaking with one or two bilingual workers. The ROI is harder to justify. You may not need GoVoz yet.
  • · You need certified OSHA training (OSHA 10/30) inside the app. We do not replace accredited safety training. We augment it with daily communication.
  • · You need legal-grade certified translation (employment contracts, formal HR documents). Use a certified translator. We are operational communication.
  • · You need a native iOS or Android app today. We are a web app and progressive web app for now. Native apps are on the roadmap.
  • · You expect to mandate use as a condition of employment. By design, GoVoz is voluntary. We do not support mandatory deployment.
  • · You require a multi-hundred-person vendor team. GoVoz is intentionally lean. You get direct founder access and a network of advisors and partners. If you need a Fortune 500 vendor experience, we are not that.
  • · You need formal compliance certifications today (SOC 2, ISO). We follow SaaS security best practices but do not currently hold formal certifications. Working toward this.

Honest is faster than oversold.
